Honey Orchid Dan Cong – Wu Dong Mountains

Honey Orchid (Mi Lan Xiang) is one of the most celebrated styles of Dan Cong oolong, known for its lush floral aroma and natural sweetness. Crafted from the Bai Ye varietal, the large, broad leaves undergo careful oxidation and roasting, giving them a deep brown hue and releasing a complex interplay of honeyed notes and orchid fragrance. The result is a tea with a creamy texture, high floral aroma, and a long, lingering finish.

This high-grade harvest comes from 20–80 year old trees and bushes rooted in Zhongshan Village, nestled in the Wu Dong Mountains of Guangdong. The skillful processing over the course of a month highlights both the strength of the leaves and the artistry of the maker, yielding a tea that’s layered, aromatic, and deeply satisfying over many steeps.

For those who enjoy a darker profile, a traditional deeper-roast version of this tea offers even more richness.
