This classic ripe Pu-erh comes from Menghai County, Xishuangbanna, and has been carefully wet-piled by accomplished tea professionals, including Yang Li. Since its 2017 harvest, it has been stored in Menghai’s warm, humid conditions, allowing the tea to develop a full-bodied richness with fruity, woody, and earthy notes.
The initial wet-pile taste has mostly mellowed, leaving a smooth, balanced cup that showcases the depth and complexity of traditional ripe Pu-erh. To preserve its signature Menghai character, the bulk of this tea continues to be stored in Menghai, with small portions (20kg cases) brought to Kunming for sale.
This Pu-erh is perfect for multiple infusions, rewarding patience with evolving flavors that deepen with each steep.
